The Therapeutic Coaching® Program

Total Value $9,997

A grounded pathway into personal development, professional integration, and therapeutic practice

Therapeutic Coaching® is an integrative approach that brings together therapeutic depth and future-focused coaching to help people heal the past, unlock their future, and learn to live more fully in the present moment.

A personal invitation from the co-creators of the Therapeutic Coaching® model, Dr Alex Howard and Anna Duschinsky

If you’re here, it’s likely because inner work is already part of your life — not as a passing interest, but as something you take seriously.

Perhaps you are ready to go deeper on your own healing path, and you realise that training to help others is the best vehicle. You are looking for an integrative approach that brings together understanding the past, creating the future, and learning to live more fully in the present.

Or, you may be a therapist, coach, or practitioner who wants to support clients not only to understand and heal their past, but also to move forward in ways that are meaningful and sustainable. You may recognise that real change requires working with both what has shaped a person — trauma, patterns, coping strategies — and how they relate, choose, and act in the present and future.

You may already be skilled at helping clients make sense of their history, yet feel the need for a clearer framework or additional tools to support integration, forward movement, and lasting change.

You have insight.

You may already have a few tools in your toolkit.

And yet, something still feels incomplete.

Perhaps this feels familiar:

  • You or your clients continue to repeat patterns, even when those patterns are well understood

  • You sense there is depth and complexity that your current tools don’t fully reach

  • Mind, body, emotions, and behaviour feel fragmented rather than integrated

  • Despite insight and motivation, confidence in the ability to move forward has begun to waver

  • The work circles the past, but momentum toward change feels elusive

These aren’t signs of failure.

They’re signs that something essential is missing.

Therapeutic Coaching® was created to address these exact challenges.

It is an integrative approach that brings together therapeutic depth and future-focused coaching — supporting people to heal the past, create meaningful change, and learn to live more fully in the present.

Why we’re making the scholarship available now

Earlier this year, we opened applications for up to $250,000 in partial scholarships towards Year One of the Therapeutic Coaching® Program, and we were blown away by the response. Even after the application window closed, many people continued to get in touch asking if we would offer the scholarship again.

So, for a limited time — and to coincide with The Future of Therapy and Coaching Summit — we have re-opened applications for this scholarship funding.

Therapeutic Coaching® has been developed over more than twenty years through real clinical practice. The method has been shaped, refined, and revised through its application at The Optimum Health Clinic, and through the training of practitioners working internationally.

It feels especially timely to reopen this opportunity now — to share our method globally and train more coaches who can help more people live happier, healthier, and more relaxed lives.

What you gain from Therapeutic Coaching® Year One

People come into this program for different, and equally valid, reasons.

When they complete it, they have:

  • A clearer understanding of their own emotional and behavioural patterns

  • A coherent framework for integrating mind, body, and nervous system work

  • Greater confidence and clarity in working with themselves and others

  • Tools that support change without creating dependence

  • A way of thinking that brings structure to complexity

  • A deeper sense of steadiness, presence, and responsibility

For some, this remains primarily personal.

For others, it naturally extends into professional or clinical work.

What’s included in the Therapeutic Coaching® Year One Program

Year One includes Level 1 and Level 2 of the Therapeutic Coaching® Program.

Across the year, students receive:

  • Structured online teaching modules with pre-recorded video content and slides

  • Monthly live online group tutorials, including a live Q&A session

  • Skills tutorials

  • Supervised practice sessions as well as peer-to-peer practice

What makes Therapeutic Coaching® distinct

At the heart of the Therapeutic Coaching® model is a simple therapeutic orientation: the need to heal the past, live in the now, and create the future.

This orientation recognises that effective change often requires working across time by resolving patterns rooted in the past, developing greater presence and regulation in the present, and supporting people to move forward with clearer intention and direction.

To support this, the program draws on established disciplines including:

  • Developmental psychology

  • Coaching

  • Hypnotherapy

  • Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

  • Mindfulness training

What distinguishes Therapeutic Coaching® is not the number of approaches involved, but how they are brought together. All of these tools are integrated into a single, coherent framework that works with past experience, present awareness, and future goals.

The training itself is then structured around three distinct pillars, which support students to apply this integrated approach in practice.

Self-development: We believe this sits at the heart of everything

The best practitioners speak with confidence and sincerity that comes from walking the path themselves. They don’t need to have resolved everything, but being on an active journey of self-development that clients can feel engenders trust.

Skills development: Our training is more than just a sum of the parts

Skill development is built through a powerful blend of tools from multiple disciplines, supported by video training, live teaching, practical sessions, Q&As, self-reflection and ongoing access to materials, with an in-person intensive at Level 2 to deepen learning through direct, experiential practice.

Clinical development: Theory is one thing. Being able to use our coaching method effectively in the real world is something else

We place a strong emphasis on this third pillar, drawing on over 20 years of work at the Optimum Health Clinic, with supervised client work, live observation, session analysis, reflective case studies, and direct feedback to ensure students are genuinely equipped for effective practice.

This program may be right for you if:

  • You are committed to your own personal development

  • You work with people and want a clearer, more integrated framework

  • You are considering a future therapeutic or coaching pathway

  • You value depth, responsibility, and integrity

YOUR NEXT STEPS

  • Fill in the application and book your call below to be considered for this re-opened scholarship opportunity. This is a limited-time reopening, and applications close on Monday, 30 March 2026.

  • Approval of scholarship recipients is only through an assessment call during which suitability, and alignment will be determined.

  • Prepare yourself for the assessment call: What are you going to do with these tools in your life and business? What impact do you desire to have in the world and how will these tools help you achieve that?

Testimonials

Joanna’s Story: Integrating healing and practice, at a sustainable pace

“It was a way of sort of marrying the two things… adding to my interest, my career path, and continuing to learn to help people but in a different way.”

Joanna came to Therapeutic Coaching from a background in counselling, following a period of serious illness (ME/CFS) that required her to focus on her own healing. The program allowed her to integrate her professional experience with her personal recovery, supported by flexibility, strong peer relationships, and an emphasis on self-development. Over time, she learned to care for herself differently and to offer support to others from a more sustainable place

“What brought me to therapeutic coaching is mainly my own recovery and development. It’s turned into a career that’s fulfilling and I'm able to share the benefits that I’ve had in myself with other people.”

Lee’s Story: From personal recovery to meaningful, autonomous work

Lee entered the program through his own recovery journey after becoming unwell and experiencing the Optimum Health Clinic approach first-hand. What began as personal development gradually evolved into a professional pathway, offering him a sense of purpose, autonomy, and a career aligned with his interests.

Norma’s Story: Bringing experience together into a trusted framework

“I've never found anything quite as powerful as therapeutic coaching both for myself but also for my clients. It is just astonishingly good.”

Norma came to Therapeutic Coaching after years of exploring different approaches for her own health and development. The program gave her a coherent, tried-and-tested framework that brought together what she had already been practising. Alongside deep personal work, she found confidence in applying the model with clients, describing it as both emotionally demanding and powerfully effective.

“I would definitely recommend this course to someone who was looking into developing a therapy practice or extending their own therapy practice.”

Lucie joined the program while still unwell after university, at a point where she needed flexibility and space to recover. The remote structure allowed her to engage at her own pace, supporting both her health and skill development. Over time, the program helped formalise skills she already had, opened up future career possibilities, and gave her greater choice about how she might work moving forward.
